This product is an endophytic conduction type selective pre-emergence herbicide. It is mainly absorbed by weed seedlings and young secondary roots, inhibiting protein synthesis in the body and ultimately leading to death. This drug is used in transplanted rice fields and can effectively control annual weeds in transplanted rice fields, such as barnyard grass, crabgrass, Japanese bromegrass, southern sprangletop, slender spikerush, woolly sedge, water amaranth, and water primrose.

    Application

This product is best treated by the drug-soil method 2-3 days before transplanting or 4-6 days after transplanting.

    Precautions

    1. When applying pesticides, maintain a shallow water layer of 3-5 centimeters and keep the water for 4-6 days. During this period, water can be replenished but not drained.

    2. Soil mixing method: First, dilute the dosage with a small amount of water and mix it into 15-20 kilograms of fine soil and mix well. The soil after mixing with pesticides should be loose and not sticky to facilitate uniform spreading.

    3. Sandy soil, leaky fields, diseased seedlings, and weak seedlings cannot be used.

    4. Each crop can only be used once and has no impact on the next crop.

    5. Butachlor has poor effect on older barnyard grass. Therefore, it must be applied before the 1-leaf and 1-heart stage of barnyard grass after rice transplanting seedlings. After applying pesticides, the water should not submerge the heart leaves of rice.

    6. Butachlor is highly toxic to fish and cannot be used for fish farming. The field water after applying pesticides in paddy fields cannot be discharged into fish ponds.
